really enjoyed new directions thom, shame reason still lacks that punch.. Have u moved on to reason 4.0, they got a mastering tool on there now thats supposedly really good....Reason said themselves that it needed more of a punch ;D

thanks for your comments, theres a couple more in the making now, making progress again on the new directions project, yes kris those were still on reason 3 do you have 4 ? i would love a copy if poss. (do you know if its poss to load older versions files into the latest? that would be handy.) however the quality of the mp3s up on myspace is very poor compared to what the full files are like. - just been asked to do the middle floor at kulu in april so am wanting to do lots more on the new style stuff to preview.

Fair doos thats well sick. Liked em both lots. Interesting new direction as well, really different, which is definitely good.
I recommend if you're gonna change DAW, go straight for Cubase. Even though Reason 4 is supposed to be pretty sick, Cubase is more professional and versatile, don't think you can even get vsts in Reason can you? which is pretty limiting. These sound ace as they are though, I think having monitors has had a massive effect on your music, especially production wise, but also composition wise in a few ways. Good stuff, looking forward to hearing you play out soon!

no, you cant use other vsts in reason, but josh sujjested running reason rewired into ableton, so i can learn that while still got access to quickly get down what i want on reason. so thats something to try. still on reason the next track for the new project is coming on pretty well. same tempo buts its getting more active,, prolly be up soon after soma. found some wicked samples that fit in prefectly! *yes the new moniters certainly help!

Nice work mate: keep on it!
2007/8 has been a good phase for me too...
Iv'e got a mate,Daryl (DJR) excellent drummer and breaks DJ who's been using reason for a couple of years and produces excellent results...Although recently I've coaxed him onto slaving it thru Cubase to mixdown and add effex...Try any combo you feel comfortable with...I use Reason for loops, bounce them down and wack 'em into SX...I also do a lot of offline processing in soundforge and import my tweaks back into cubase (all my samples are heavily processed and re-imported that way, making them more unique.)
