I'd be using them primarily for lighting UV reactive drops ... both indoors and out. ya dont want cages then.... See ya local DIY store or B&Q about some clear plastic gutter/tube. (or Plumbing centre), theres quite a lot of off the shelf plumbing supplies you can use to make the tube pretty waterproof for outdoor use. You can even be fancy and get cable glands and 16amp plugs (adds a few quid but then they are FULLY outdoor rated...you can practically dunk em under-water...) Im gonna be doing the same sometime soon, after i saw a friend who runs a hire company do it recently. (god im board at work sometimes.......)

simply more u.v. light = MORE LIGHT (not more u.v.ness ) therefore think - less is more. P Media. thats very true bro.... hummm i have heard this before and im not too sure.... i went to a party in belgium put on by me mate ramses. over there they dont ave any other light s apart from UV's - no flashing coloured things at all. just loads and [glow=red,2,300]LOADS[/glow] OF UV. The party was on a boat and was about the same size as the zanzibar where alien rez is and there must of been at least 20 but prolly more like over 30 four foot tubes and the difference was incredible. the glow factor was far far stronger than anything i have eva seen over here. bowled me over it did. well worth doin also take behind the decks at res... they have about 3 tubes close together just for the drops behind the dj. bright as fuk innit. and when im home paintin me drops - one tube makes it glow some, 2 tubes makes it glow more.... there could be other factors involved but i reakon the more black light you through about the better... x

there should be lots of uv for sure. however as its a fairly large site and were planning on making lots of large scale decorations, so how ever many uvs we have therll all be spaced out in the right places to make the most of them.

I can say for sure that in a room with LOTS of UV your eyes hurt like a mutha the morning after ... outside is a different kettle of carp alltogether.
I'm sure Thom will have it sorted on the day ;D

hmmm when sunbeds where all the rage a decade or two ago I remember looking at the UV and you couldn't look at it for more than 20 seconds or so as it hurt. But the ones you see at parties doesn't seem to have the same effect, but yes after one of my party's its nice to switch them off, mind you this could be after a 48 hour session (ouch) ;D Sorry Thom, we have seemed to have gone off on a slight tangent but still relevant I hope with this venture and hey who knows that CD you promised me two years ago might be nearly finished - am sure it will be worth the wait DD

if not goin too off topic zog - there are different uv's frequencys the sunbeds use a more powerful type which burns (like the sun innit) havin said that - im not too sure what the effects of loads and loads of "safe "uv is.

UV Lights use long wavelengths of UVA which are pretty much safe as long as you dont stare at the source from short distances or for long periods. Shorter wavelength UVA and UVB are the more dangerous frequencies (UVB is responsible for sunburn and is absorbed by the Ozone layer).

reet so at this outdoor i see you've got ideas for workshops and i'll be up for trying whatever but i wanna know if anyone else is up for some sports like football, rugby, cricket etc. as there may be young there but it's also good for us to exercise in different ways. i think a lot of creativity can spark from good harmony from within the body (but it also can come from positive and negative vibes). i think some people might be put off on sports at times because of the competition aspect of it all but at the end of a match or whatever we'd all be sitting, eating and laughing together. so basically i want to know who'd be interested in a bit of sport or maybe just general fitness like going for a run etc. and if anyone who knows how to teach things like yoga, thai chi etc and would be interested in sharing their knowledge then do so. as we are one big intergalatic database and something you may know could be an interest to everyone there looking forward to hearing some ideas from everyone on this antony

there will be tai-chi workshops throughout the weekend . . . dont know any one who can do yoga yet tho . . im sure if its ment to be, at some point they will appear. the thing about the sports, i recon it would work better, less formal - bring a ball and offya pop. . . soon will be updateing with the lineup,

yeh but to be honest mate i think competition does help us all because it makes you work harder, boosting your fitness and endurance. to me it's not about boosting my ego or anything but just a bit of fun for everyone to be had.

I'm well up for a spot of tai-chi .. I have always wanted to learn a bit of that.

yeah seddon I'm into the sports idea. it's quite true about the physical side of ourselves needing some kind of stimualtion as this does make you a lot more positive after exercise due to you creating the harmonious balance between body and mind and plus me, joey an macca would be definitely be up for a game of footie!

thats wot we want - dont know how much power a rig like ashleys uses - prolly alot more that the pedal power offers but still - looks like fun... The genny we use is 11k and is Jim Arkless's. He is a member now and he makes Bio Deisel and we some times use it in parties when there is any spare Old cooking fat, Methonol, Lye, cooked and left to seperate, after a decent reading is achieved, its useable xx www.biodieselcommunity.org/howitsmade/
