Ive been thinking aLoT recently about how to make a necessary difference for the future of our planet. right now the best thing i think we can do is to spread awareness on how we can all make positive changes in our lives which in turn WiLL begin to make a difference if more and more people put things into perspective.
if your thinking on the same wave as me then i feel the first thing we should do is gather our ideas together. Then we can devise ways of getting relevant information out to people, within our psytrance community and into the public.
some of you may think that theres no hope now for the future, and i can't blame you for it really, i have sometimes thought this myself . . . but i believe that if we think that way we are giving in. i feel we need to actively do what we feel is right in order to try to make a difference for the better and although it may seem hopeless, by getting the right information out to people on how they can contribute (no matter how small that way could be) will help - and hopefully younger generations will pick up on this too if the right information and guiding is put towards them.
i would quite like to here peoples opinions on getting information to the people. any views and ideas on how you could help will be appreciated.
< actions MUST take place to make for a better future >
* my objectives so far are simple, they are to :
- spread awareness on relevant world issues which i feel need bringing to peoples attention. - spread awareness on how to be more ecologically friendly and the reasons of why you should be. - make more available, unbiased information for safer drug use. - promoting psytrance music, culture and events. - . . . (and surely more to come)
* my ideas so far are :
- to gather the right people who can help with and have the same objectives or can add their views on other issues. then to arrange a meeting with those people to discuss what each has to offer and of ways to get these ideas into action.
- to create a website portal (which is in the design process now) which can be an information database for our objectives. also promoting psytrance music, culture and particular events going on.
- to create the right vibe through trance to help push things forward through mind expansion. (after all i believe it to be these things which have made me have thoughts for change)
surely there is other people all around the globe with similar objectives and more to add - if everyone puts these objectives into action then there must be hope for change in our future generations. this is why i feel this is a cause worth putting in effort for - which is why i and many others have been trying endlessly to come up with the right ideas to push things the right way.
so anyone who thinks they could and would like to contribute to this cause in any way you can - i would appreciate it if you got in touch.
let me know how you can help.
peace

Sometimes i find it hard to believe that your only just 18 thom. The sense that comes out of your mouth is like what i'd expect to hear coming out of the 'wise elders of the world'. I hope you know that im all for what your trying to do, i'm next to you every step of the way. Hey maybe try and encoprorate the idea behind spirulina solving world hunger. I cant see it going a miss with this sort of thing. Increasing awareness about it can only help. And also i think it would be good to inform people of the pollution free alternative to petrol which has been made against the law - vegeatable oil. All the little bits of information contributes greatly to shaping our future. Give us a shout when you need a hand. You know where to find me Love & Light x x x x

with ya all the way mate!!
plans are afoot and the revolution is gathering pace...
our resonances are rising and harmonising, and re-connecting our like minds together into the pool of human, gaian & cosmic consciousness.
i think its definately urgent that we all continue at a greatly accelerated pace to spread this informmation wide and far, of who we are, where we are, whats happening, the nature of reiality being created by our thoughts and actions (conscious or not), the planet will help us if we help it, because we are it and vice versa fronty backwards etc.
i believe we've all chosen to be incarnated here at this crucial turning point, and are discovering our paths very quickly!
its better to regret something you have done, than something you havent, an all that, but i reckon not doing as much as we possibly could when we've got just about enough 'time' left would be a really crap thing to regret......
LETS GO!!!!!!!
xx

thanks for your responses, i feel as tho firstly we need to have just a social meeting in which we can discuss these things - nothing to big, just a time we can develop our ideas together in person. still trying to gather together people and on the search for a place we can do this. but i think it needs to come together as soon as we can. after this social meeting i wish to organize another meeting and event. in which we can have talks, presentations and discussions on a wider basis, ideally i would like to follow this with another mellout type event in which we can then socialize within a chilled environment with all sorts of entertainment music and art. following on abit from this a mind manifestation will take place with a psychedelic trance journey to go consciously deeper within what we have touched on. finding the right place where all this can be done will be quite a task but I'm pretty sure something perfect will arise in the near future. i need to speak to a few people then we can have the first meeting - please everyone who wants to contribute, gather your ideas, let us know your thoughts on this. and ill keep you all updated on what when and where.

cool, good points thom....the main thing with stuff like this is action!! is good to voice opinions and bounce them off each other but action comes from actually gettin of our asses and doin summit about it...(whatever IT maybe...) so sounds good that u want to create a website for exchanging knowledge.....after all knowledge is sacred and once something has been forgotten about then thats that!! niceone dood....keep up the good work

Vegetable oil is against the law ? ? Apparently so Dave! Your car cant pass it's MOT if its had vegetable oil run through it - simply because the government dont get their tax on it! Pathetic! Makes me sick to be honest. . .

It's so good to read this! You have a lot of good ideas and energy to make substantial changes. We do need to make huge changes now, so that our future generations can be born into a new way of life, so it won't actually be new to them, but normal. *We need to be setting an example for others to follow now. Many of us have had enough of the arm chair revolution now, talk talk talk is all we seem to do.. We all have the same frustrations, which is why it is so important that we collect together to share our visions. A dear friend(angel)of mine is in the process of setting up a community. . I wont go into detail just yet, but she IS setting an example. It's going to be a lot of hard work until we are completely self-sufficient, kinda like starting again, but taking the technology we have and making it all green There are many highly evolved beings who are putting these visions into practice..so there's hope for us all yet But we all need to be thinking globally and acting locally to contribute to these exiting changes ahead! Thanks Thom for your wisdom, keep me up2date on your gatherings/plans. Peace, love&unity to all Cheryl xXx

god luck with the self-sufficiency plans squerryl. it's like you say;sitting around talking about it can inspire dreams.but getting round to doing anything about it is usually beyond most people. to see people starting out and trying to build a community based on changing societies outlook at the enviromental problems that surround us is a positive step towards a permenent change in attitude.

Makes me sick to be honest. . . i've run my car on veg oil, as long as it hasn't got it in for the mot it's ok...but it is illegal unless you buy bio diesel which is treated veg oil and you pay tax on it. my car run lovely on half veg..half diesel and it smells really nice too. the diesel engine was designed to run on seven different fuels..at the time diesel was the cheapest and no one cared about pollution, veg oil..33 pence a litre!! but if you get caught they can crush your car!!!

Hey Thom, nice to finally be able to sit down and read this.. been a bit hectic of late! God stuff, I've just found a new place with a lil garden that Wendy and I are going to start growing our own veg in etc.. my new car runs on Gas (though I'm not 100% if this is really good enough - roll on the H2O engine) and I'm moving close enough to work to be able to cycle... so feeling better bout things already Its vitaly important that these messages get across, and to everyone... the sooner the better. To be honest I'm not the best at keeping up to date with world events etc, I'm usually the last to pull my head outta the sand and realise whats going on, but my latest struggle at trying to find a place to live has made me realise just how dire the situation is in this country re. finding a decent place to live for an affordable price in an area where your not gonna get your face bricked in for having a brain. I'm not entirely sure what I can do to help, but I'm good at putting information together in easy to read formats, I'm articulate and good at making pretty posters etc.. infact most sorts of basic desk top publishing I can usually figure out. So yea, here and happy to help! Keep on troopin! xXx

starting to get a good response in here now aint ya thom? enough people to get going yet? yup, the more Ive been talking about ideas with other people on the same route, the more exciting and realistic it seems. everyone has there own individual skills and talents. when the right people work together with things to bring a positive movement it can work out. the idea of starting this thread was to see the reaction to these ideas and to see who can participate in what they can. i still believe its essential to get together to exchange lines of thought within a group of people. our next event coming up will be Soma Sonic on 18th November - the relevant details will be posted soon in the soma sub forum, for this event we're trying to organize a few talks to bring out positive thought for change, and to help us to understand the reason. This will be happening a couple of hours before the party starts, ill post more details when there finalized. This will also be a chance to meet up and discuss what we can do for the future and ways of which we can work together to bring the reality in which we intend to create. Do not worry this will not cut into our party time, but will happen as an extra, before the party starts. we're also trying to get together some printed reading, to freely distribute. ill go into more detail soon. and as for the website - its a while off yet as other things have sprung up sooner - however I'm still working on getting it together - hopefully have something decent by the end of the year. Squerryl. its good to here you have plans to get together a self-sufficient community. I'm very interested in this too, id love to here whats happening and if we can get involved, please keep in touch. its good to see that people want to get involved in doing this, like i said - everyone has there own skills and talents, and if we all put what we can together we can bring together the positive change that we desire. ill keep you all informed on whats going on with us - and please keep us in touch with what your doing and what you can do to help, if you wish to.

hello thom, sounds real good what you're trying to do here...maybe giving info on little and simple things that people do to can try and lessen their environmental impact...its only makes a little difference if one person does it but if EVERYONE does it...easy things like vegetarianism/veganism, recycling glass/cans/paper/plastics, eating organics (which is very difficult on a student budget) and ditching cars for public transport or even better walkin or cycling...also economically related things like trying to do grocery shopping in local shops to help keep local people in buisness rather than all the money goin to a few fat cats who run the supermarkets...more local buisness' make for a more intimate community i have found on my limited travels...anyway hello to all from bristol hope everyone is safe and well...take care all and hopefully see you at the november soma party
