hiya could some kind soul tell me how i can convert a vro file into something useful (eg avi). i've searched google but all the freeware programs claim to do it but don't once downloaded. anyone have any ideas? the file is a recording of an aussie vj mixing stuff from a number of inputs. it's very cool and i'd like to be able to use it. thanks in advance m

Not Sure Mark, There's some stuff on the forums saying you can rename as mpg then edit. My suggestion would be use the DVD-RAM and burn it to VOB format then you could use a standard program such as final cut to edit it !!!! I am assuming here you copied of the tv and that it is sat on your dvd HD recorder Who is the aussie VJ

the dvd-ram is in oz. the aussie vj is a guy called pete (primevibes), a mate who lives in adelaide. he gave us some stuff on a dvd (the vro file in question - amongst other things). its a mixdown of his vj set from the last gig we played in adelaide. he routinely records them on to a hard disk. we just want to make a dvd we can play in a standard dvd player. btw - there was also a guy called spectra that did a whole heap of time lapse around sydney harbour and stuff that is fantastic - keep meaning to get a copy to you....
