Hi All. This is my 1st post on this board so please be gentle (especially since its a monday after a big Messmedia Saturday)
I just wondered what all you guys n gals use to create visuals, i am PC based and currently use VJamm Blueprint, Visual Jockey, & Resolume to mix them, I mainly VJ for Hard House/ Techno/ Hardcore nights so i do fast switching short clips & flash with live camera effects using Resolume. I'd really like to have a go at creating better and more trippy visuals, the type i like is very liquid and abstract as seen in winamp, but i'd like them to look better with reflections on surfaces (i'm not explaining myself very well am i, the avatar that Tomos has is similar to the effect i want) I have no 3d graphics experience except for a little messing with Ulead 3d Production Studio for 3d text, so can anyone recommend a good starting point.
Thanks to all in Advance.

Tomos.
I'm intrigued how you create moving visuals in photoshop, do you mean you create a picture, save a frame then move an item or layer a bit then save another frame and so on?
I've just got a copy of 3dsmax so i'll work my way thru the tutorials and hopefully be able to create someting basic to get me started.
Thanks for the advice dude.

there are allsorts of ways that u can use photoshop to animate with, yes like butons says by exporting an image to image ready then flsh, that will separate the layers for u in flash som that u can animate each layer seperatly, or like u say, changing an image step by step in photoshop using effects etc and saving each one as in individual frame in flash....time consuming, but some lovely effects both flash and photoshop are extreemly deep programs with many avenues to explore...... 3dsmax is more of a 3d design package but has links with flash so that u can animate the 3d objects that u create have fun

Thanks guys, i'll have a play. By the way a new freeframe source plugin has recently been released, www.whorld.org its pretty basic stuff but can make some nice patterns for those moments when you just gotta leave the VJ station for a pee or a dance. Col
