Hello there, We're getting sick of using yousendit expiring links - just wondered if anyone knows of any decent video hosting with reliable streaming that's cheap as chips? I know of free hosting at 'putfile' and 'you tube' which are OK for teeny tiny files but bomb on anything bigger. I'm blinded by techi stuff when doing searches - or it's all in dollars etc. So just thought I'd see if anyone used vid hosting and had any decent tips. Cheers Lu.

Ah - no worries dude. Yes I just want something so that peeps can hit a button and it streams lovely. But it's all 'traffic' and 'bandwidth' stuff and it makes my mind boggle DMP kindly host stuff for Goldie but you have to be a member to stream it and I feel bad taking up their webspace

Ok you can host Video on any web server if you wish to stream it , then you either need a streaming package or a host that will do it for you !!!! try Vidlife.com or google video !!!!! EL C

The problem is a simple web page takes up no bandwidth or storage at all really - when you are hosting music or video to stream both storage and bandwidth become an issue - and you have to start looking for pay-for services. Really depends what kinda traffic you are expecting to have.

Most isp suppliers give free web space, normally around 50mb, u could always use that tp up a movie then remove when its been there a while.

It all depends on usage - if you want somewhere to store one or two vids that'll have maybe 10 hits a day then thats fine. If you want to house a collection of vids and get 300 or 400 hits a day then you'll need proper hosting.
